Brassworks: An Alternate Earth History
Imagine a world of industrial technology, mystic powers, and high adventure. A world without digital technology or plastics. A world of armored dirigibles hovering above gothic-style buildings, of massive analog computers and nearly-sentient mechanical beings. A world in which the characters of classic science fiction really did exist. Imagine all this, and you have Brassworks.
The flavor and feel of Brassworks was inspired by numerous sources. Steampunk is an obvious inspiration, as is the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. But I also borrowed ideas and concepts from Star Wars, Dune, and the Brothers Grimm. The result is a low-fantasy/high technology/high mysticism roleplaying game with a wide breadth of options available to players.
Brassworks uses the d20 Modern/D&D 3.5 rules.
